Peacock Pansy Butterfly, original painting

The Peacock Pansy butterfly is a species of butterfly found in South Asia; I could not resist its striking colouring.  Created using watercolour, ink and pencil on 300gsm hot pressed paper; further embellished with gold leaf behind, to bring out the different yellows and catch the light.

Measuring approximately 7 x 7 inches, presented mounted in a crisp white frame and within a white wooden frame, ready to hang.
